Farewell My Friend

Wednesday...Gratitude

No.41 ... I wanted to dedicate today's gratitude post to my little furry friend Luigi who unfortunately passed away over Christmas. He was a lovely bouncy little Chihuahua, known for his cheeky attitude towards our family dog George, and being babied by Snoopy the eldest of the 3 when they were still with us. He passed away peacefully, and wasn't alone when it happened so for him I am grateful that he didn't suffer and that I was by his side. It's been a sad time for the family but we have been enjoying fond memories of him since, remembering his life as positively as we can. He lived a long life of 16 years so it certainly was something we expected, especially as he'd been extremely poorly for a few days.

I won't be posting this weekend from Friday so I can spend time reflecting on my time with Luigi as it's something that hasn't happened properly with the holidays being so busy, and now that I am working again. I had him from when he was 8 weeks old so it has been hard, especially as he left us on Christmas Day. We had our Christmas on Christmas Eve so we were able to spend one last special time with him at least.

This is to Luigi, a very smart and good little dog, and my faithful little pal that always stood by me. We'll miss you.

x

Cksilver Sterling Silver Gemstone Jewelry

Belated - BESTeam Mosaic
weekly shoutout to the dedicated workers that like to help other handmade artists...

cksilver on Etsy... I'm not sure if there is time for anyone to buy gifts for Christmas and get super fast delivery on time! I know that for the UK, we are totally snowed in, our inbound post is crippled and there are cascades of children rolling down the road in the flurries! No matter though, for I think a visit to cksilver is worth it for those of you who wish to buy to treat yourself for all the hard Christmas shopping that you may have done lately! I always try and buy myself a gift at the height of my happy buying (which I had done yesterday... it was a yummy treat of frankfurt market cakes! mmm) ... It's a must, and to buy a beautiful piece of jewelry that's as beautiful as these handmade pieces from cksilver is the perfect way to give back to yourself whatever the occasion. The think I love the most about her gemstone jewelry is the fact that real sterling silver findings are used, which means you are receiving excellent quality that won't be disturbed by the elements in a negative way. Sterling silver is wonderfully durable like that, and looks so gorgeous against bold colors which is something cksilver hasn't shied away from with her choice of combinations in all of her pieces!

If you get a moment too from browsing her store you must check out her blog, for a great variety of handmade related posts!

For those of you with a passion for handmade, and you have a blog that is in need of a consistant weekly post to drive your traffic and help fellow artisans by doing the same. Come and join the BESTeam!

A Quick One

A quick one... I'm sure everyone is going mental this weekend preparing for Christmas... 6 days away... sheesh! I am quite certain the last time I looked which i swear was yesterday (ahem) there was at least another 10 days added to that number. Anyhoo, I cannot ramble much today for I have orders to fulfill, presents to knit, and food to prepare for the big day. I instead thought I'd leave a recent new image that I hope to add to the collection in my hat shop after Christmas, and give ya'll a sneak preview :) I have made bajillions of these rainbow bunny hats so I thought it deserved some new images. And this one is one of my faves! :)
If I don't randomly post in the week (which is likely as I have too much to do to focus much on features), I'll wish you all a Merry Christmas now! Speak soon!

FromShirlee

Tuesday - BESTeam Mosaic
weekly shoutout to the dedicated workers that like to help other handmade artists...

FromShirlee on Etsy... This shop is fabulous and like some of my favourite stores on Etsy, it's the loving efforts of a family based team behind all the work. You can almost tell that a mother and daughter's input has gone into the crafts on display as there's such a warm homely feel about the entire shop. The origins of the name is fascinating, having started with the mother of the mother! I love that this shop is based in family tradition of crafts and the skills have been passed down through the daughters in the family to form the delights in FromShirlee today. Definitely a place to visit if you want to buy something really special and handmade for your loved ones this Christmas.

I just LOVE the layout of her blog, and the content makes a great read if you enjoy reading about fellow artists and crafters as much as I do :) Check it out and don't forget to follow her!

For those of you with a passion for handmade, and you have a blog that is in need of a consistant weekly post to drive your traffic and help fellow artisans by doing the same. Come and join the BESTeam!
